FREEZE NEUTRALISING KIT DESCRIPTION
The Freeze Neutralising Kit CSL 31 FNK is an autonomous Cryogenic Equipment Set. The FNK enables
CSL 31 FNK the Bomb Technician to apply Freezing Techniques in both EOD and IEDD applications. The FNK provides
the Bomb Technician with a portable and controlled method of delivering super cold liquid Nitrogen in
situations where it is desirable to freeze the battery/power pack of a fuse in both UXOs and Improvised
Explosive Devices.

Liquid Nitrogen can be stored for long periods in the 25 litre insualted Dewar which is equipped with two
preset pressure relief valves. The equipment is self-contained and packs into a rugged two man portable
aluminium Transit Case.

The FNK includes various adaptors to hold the Liquid Nitrogen around a UXO fuse pocket and, a Remotely
Activated Injector Kit - RAIK, used for penetrating and injecting Liquid Nitrogen into IEDs.
