Leaded Electric Leadless Electric Electrically Driven Percussion
Common Breech Plug with two electrical adaptors allowing the use of leaded electric cartridges with
the basic plug, leadless electric cartridges and percussion initiated cartridges. The percussion system
features an electrically powered solenoid to strike the firing pin. This means that the Vulkancan be used
with some currently available in service Cartridges and the new Countermeasure Systems Leadless Elec-
tric and Percussion Cartridges. Percussion Cartridges eliminate any danger from RF
        induction through long firing cables.

The laser sights incorporate several safety features:
        • The lasers automatically time out after 1-5 minutes according to time delay selected by the Operator.
This means that once the Operator has aimed the Disrupter the Laser Sights will automatically shut
down so that they pose no hazard after firing.
        • Each laser sight can easily be removed from the turret, for example if not desired when doing close
up firings or to replace in the event of failure.
        • Power for the lasers derives from a tubular power pack using off the shelf batteries and housed in
the upper arm of the multi position stand. This precludes the lasers being used for any other purpose
since they have no autonomous power.

        Laser Specification:
        • The standard lasers are 42mw, 532nM Green. Green laser are 10 x more visible to the human eye
            than other colours.
        • The lasers are pulsed but when they coincide if for example being used to range as well as aim the
two spots will merge as a solid dot.
        • The lasers are zeroed by means of contra rotating prisms which make zeroing a quick and easy
operation. Another benefit is that the lasers are significantly more stable.
